My name is Hailey McKim and I am from Linn, MO. I have been looking for an upcoming spot for a catcher in 2018. I am a fast learner and I will give my maximum effort in everything I do. I play to win and I do believe best player gets the spot, and I will try my hardest to get my position. I am currently the starting catcher for my varsity team. I have been in this position for two seasons now. We finished this season 20-3, some close games but I am so proud to say we have some late game comebacks to win. My spring/summer travel team is Missouri Stealth 18GOLD. I have been with the Stealth organization for 3 seasons now and hope to wear that Stealth jersey though the next 3! This year I was asked to try out for the 18-Gold team and am happy to say was offered the #1 catcher spot, I am very excited for this year’s travel season and know that I have some tough competition ahead of me. I am the youngest player on our roster and know it is time to step up for my teammates and perform this season for a great year.
My education is very important to me and my parents have given me every opportunity to play my sport for 10 months a year with the strict rules that my grades cannot suffer. I am currently a 4.0 student at Linn High School. I have not taken my ACT yet, but plan on taking the test this Winter of 2016. I want to pursue a career in archaeology or animal science, more specifically marine mammal science but I know I am not done with softball. So I would love to continue to play at the collegiate level and work toward my degree at a school with a quality program.
