Elena Hipp '17 Recruiting Profile

When stepping out onto the softball field I feel alive, empowered by my abilities I have gained and refined in my years as a softball player. I feel determined as I sprint out out to my position, like I was meant to be there. As a determined player, I make it my personal goal to be one of the leaders on my team and in life. I look to my coaches for guidance and it is very important to me to be open minded and very coachable. There is so much passion for this game in my heart. It’s the love that I have for sliding into home after one of my teammates or I hit the ball. It’s that perfect feeling that I get when I hit the ball and made a good connection. It’s the support and love from my second family that I have on my team that keeps me going. It's the adrenaline rush that I gain when I throw someone out. I strive to become a better player in every way I can. If there is an extra practice or conditioning that I can do, I will be there, trying my best and giving it my all. My goal is to continue to gain and refine my skills, and compete at the higher level.
