Marlee Wilson '13 Recruiting Profile

I would like to continue my softball career and play at a high collegiate level. I am willing to work hard to become the best individual player, as well as a valuable team player. I am dedicated to my studies in high school and will continue that in college. I am willing to make softball and school my only priorities, realizing they both require much time and dedication. I feel I am very knowledgeable about the game of softball. Although I am naturally right handed, I learned to bat left handed when I was four. I hit for average (.386) and power (6 HR, 12 2B, 5 3B) in forty games my freshman year, and average (.500) and power (3 HR, and 16 2B) in 38 games my sophomore year. With these statistics I earned All-State (MI, Div 2) HM at third base (FA .932) my freshman year, and All-State HM again at third (.976) my sophomore year. My team finished 31-9 overall, and 16-2 (second) in a tough Wolverine Conference my freshman year. My sophomore year we finished 36-2 overall, and were undefeated (18-0) in our Conference. I want to be a contributing player my freshman year, regardless of what school I choose to attend. I would like coaches that are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and provide positive feedback. I am open to different locations and sizes of schools. I am undecided in a major, but am interested in math and science. I am an intense and energetic player, which is contagious to a team. Even though I started playing softball at the age of four, I still get excited to practice and play! I know that I love softball enough to play at the collegiate level! :)
