My name is Paige Blinkiewicz and I’m from Kalamazoo, Michigan and will graduate in the 2015 class. I have started on the Loy Norrix High School varsity team my first three years and have played travel ball for five years. I am a right-handed pitcher and throw a fastball, change up, curveball, screwball, and riseball. I started at Short Stop my freshman year and earned all conference honors. I also earned all conference honors my junior year.
Over the years, I have played every position in competition successfully (travel, high school, little league). My high school coach says I’m “tough as nails” and have a “very high softball IQ.” I have loved softball since I started playing six years ago and look forward to realizing my dream of playing collegiate softball.
I have a 4.12 GPA on a 4.0 scale and I am ranked 6th out of 400 in my class. I am looking for a school that offers a balance of academic and athletic opportunities. I plan to major in Biochemistry and am looking for a school that can provide me with superior classroom and hands-on learning experiences. Finally, I would like to play with a team where all the girls fit well together and where I can make a strong contribution early in my career.
