My name is Catherine Nestor however I’m often referred to as “Kitty” or “Nesta”. I’ve played sports since “pre-school”. My favorite sport was whatever was in season. I do remember as a five year old going to bed with my baseball uniform on in anticipation of the next day’s game.
Athletically I’ve focused on field hockey and softball in high school. This past season (Junior) our Field Hockey team captured the league title and I was honored to be voted captain of next year’s team. I earned my “sport letter” in Softball last season as a sophomore. I consider myself a versatile player i.e SS, 3B, Outfield. I have recently been selected to play on the Northeast team in the Bay States Showcase Games in the summer of 2014.
Personally, I’ve played with many talented players. However talent alone is just one ingredient for a “winning team”. Winning teams include unselfish players. Players that are willing to sacrifice for the good of the team. This is an infectious gene that I possess and spread to my teammates.
My goal is to continue playing softball at the college level while earning my degree.
