Victoria Lizardo '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Victoria Mercedes Lizardo, I've been playing since 2006, at age 11. During my freshmen year I was captain of the Junior Varsity softball team because I understood the game and helped those who needed my help. I was later moved up when it was time for Varsity to go to regionals and I served as starting 3rd basemen and back up pitcher. I was the only player to score a home run and as freshmen I consider it an achievement, which is to me amazing. Because I was going against players older than me and that are ready to play close to a college level. I have more than one pitch. I can do a fastball, a rise, a drop, and a curve. I've managed to locate where I want those pitches to be. I am still working to be the best I can, and though I'm only 5 feet 1inch. I don't let my height get to me. Because when I start to play I am as tall as anyone else and can do just as good as them and if not better. I'm 5'-1", 125 lbs and a moderate speed in running and do get to the bases on time. I am from a middle class family so I will be applying to FAFSA and accepting any scholarships presented to me and that fit me best. I wish to play softball as a freshman in college. But I don't know my level and do believe that at my age I can only get better. I'm confident that I will play for my college. The career I would like to proceed is business administration. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and would also like to learn other languages like Chinese and Russian. I'm into acting, and interested in the drama club. It's been my dream to play softball for college and I will not stop till I stand on that diamond ready to play ball for college.
