Payton Adams '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5' 3" catcher/shortstop from St. Bernard Louisiana.  I have started on the John Curtis Christian School Varsity team for 3 years and earned 1st team all-district 2A for the 2012 and 2013 seasons; 1st team all-district 3A for 2014.  I was also named to the all district, all metro and all state team for the 2014 season.  We also won the Louisiana State Championship for Class 2A in 2012 and 2013 and the Louisiana State Championship Class 3A in 2014.  I have a GPA of 3.86 and I was awarded the scholar award for maintaining a 3.5 or higher for the 2011/2012, 2012/2013, and 2013/2014 school years.  My pop time as a catcher is 1.9 and my throwing velocity is 60 mph.

Although I have not made a final decided on a major at this time, I am looking for a university where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the field.  I am open to all types of schools as well.  It has always been my dream to play softball at the college level.  My ideal athletic environment would be one where I could make a immediate impact on the team.  I am always the first player on the field and the last to leave.
