March 2015Personal Statement
During my Freshman year of high school, while I was a member of the varsity softball team, I did not start. I had made a goal for myself at the beginning of that season to prove to my coaches that I was capable of being a part of the starting line-up. Therefore, through hard work in practices, the coaches took notice and I became a member of the starting line-up half way through my freshman season, and I have not moved from that starting line-up since. I always set goals for myself both academically and athletically every year that I want to accomplish.
I am a very coach-able player. This has been shown by my ability of being a utility player. While some players may label themselves as utility players, not all of them can play each position at a high competitive level. I am able to play at that high competitive level because ever since I started to play softball, I was always taught every position and everything that goes along with each position. Sophomore year I started at first base with a .991 fielding percentage and a .326BA. Junior Year I batted .429 and a .997 fielding average.
