Taylor Astell '16 Recruiting Profile

For what seems like all of my life, softball has been there. I started playing when i was 6 and haven't stopped playing. Every summer has been filled with softball and I wouldn't want my summers any other way. Playing college ball has always been a dream of mine and I want to keep softball in my life as long as I can. I am always working to get better at it and be the best athlete I can be. I love being coached and if you're willing to help me then I am willing to listen.

My dreams in college have always been to study marine biology/ marine sciences, to teach, or to be involved with psychology and if I was playing softball alongside my studies, then I couldn't be happier. It also helps that i have an amazing family behind me who have supported me through my entire softball career.

I have successfully gotten my time to first to about a 2.5/2.6 and i'm going to continue to improve that time, and to also increase my batting average and keep it consistent.
