It has been my dream to play college softball since I was ten years old. I don't just want to play, but I want to leave my mark in the record books. I am dedicated, coachable, and have a great work ethic. I am always striving to increase my strength and speed and to improve my skills. I currently bench press 160 lbs, squat 295 lbs, throw 64 mph, and sprint from home to first base in 2.6 seconds. I am a four-year varsity starter, playing second base, shortstop, and third base. My batting average my sophomore season was .500. I hit 14 doubles, 3 triples, and 6 homeruns, drove in 37 RBIs, and struck out only 3 times in 90 at-bats. Last year, I batted .517 with 10 homeruns, 4 triples, 7 doubles, and 25 RBIs, with only 2 strike-outs. This year, I finished my season with a .560 batting average. I hit 4 homeruns, 1 triple, and 10 doubles, drove in 35 RBIs. and had only one strikeout in 93 at-bats. I was selected by the coaches in my conference as the 2015 SIC 4A Player of the Year. I have played mostly third base in travel ball for several years, earning several Kansas State and World Series game MVP awards. I also earned First Team All-Conference in 2013 and 2014 for the Southern Idaho Conference and was selected to the Idaho Press-Tribune's All Area Team in 2013 and 2014. Last summer, my team, the Idaho Sliders 16A won the Idaho State ASA Championship.
I give 100% in the classroom. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA, was a Valedictorian for my class of 247, and was a member of the National Honor Society. I have earned the All-Conference Academic Award, the English, Speech, and History Awards for my class, and the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. I am a published poet and have earned a state award and qualified for Nationals for an FCCLA technology project. My sophomore year, I was the Officer for Community Service Projects in FCCLA and helped organize such events as Presents for Pennies. My academic goal is to major in biology or pre-med and go on to attend medical school.
