Madison Morgan '17 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard worker on and off the softball field. I am always willing to do whatever it takes to help my team, support my teammates and improve my game. I believe my skills will translate well at the next level and I am looking forward to continuing playing this game I love after high school.

The softball field is the one place where I am literally home. To me, it’s the safest place in the world. I feel like nobody can mess with me when I’m there because I have eight people who will always be there for me. It’s the place where I can be with the people who understand me the most. I love the little things that frustrate me and drive me to be as close to perfection as possible. I love the cages because that is where I can work on my swing. I love catching and being able to see the entirety of the field. I love the relationships I have built with my teammates, but most importantly the pitchers because we understand each other on a different level. I love the passion that softball requires. Softball has made me grow as a person and I thank God every day that I am allowed to play the game I love and that I’ve met so many great people.”

I have high expectations and consider myself a leader on and off the field. Besides softball, education is very important to me. I am taking a full load of AP classes and honors courses. To further my education I also am involved in a Dual Enrollment program through Thomas University in hopes of obtaining my associate’s degree by the time I graduate high school or have as many credits towards an associate’s degree as possible. My goal for furthering my education is to find a college that offers a pre-med program or other educational track that will enable me to further my passion in becoming a Pediatric Oncologist.
