Caitlin Justice '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Caitlin Justice, I play Varsity softball at Jensen Beach High school and this sport is my life. I play year round with my travel team Lightspeed when I'm not playing for my high school. I put softball before almost everything in my life, and I do whatever it takes to make myself better. I work hard at everything I do, because to me slacking in an area you don't feel you need to master won't better yourself. To have extra skills is always a bonus and I think I have that attitude all the time. I feel that I'm a great leader and I look for whats best in others and try to help as often as I can. Standing at only 5-3 I might sound short, but I carry myself as if I'm 5-10. I weigh around 130 and am pretty fast for a catcher, if I do say so myself. My primary position is catching, but after my high school season when they needed a right fielder I worked hard and it is now one of my strong second positions. I invision myself stepping onto the college softball field being a part of a team and working hard. If I could choose an area where I'd like to attend college it would be along the east coast, or California. I like the East coast because for most of my life I've lived in Florida and have traveled up and down the East coast and love it. California is an option for me too because I used to live out there when I was younger and fell in love with the state, and plan on moving there after college to pursue my career. I want to attend a school that is a great academic school and has a great math, engineering, or physics program.
It is my dream to play softball in college, and I can't see my life without it right now. It's become a huge part of who I am and I want to continue that for as long as I possibly can.
