Grethell santos '16 Recruiting Profile

 Just to say a little bit about myself.  I am an outfielder on my school team and other than school work, I spend most of my time working hard on the field. I have started countless amounts of high school games since my freshmen year and have received best offensive freshman award including recognition on the All County (Miami-Dade) 2013 Honorable Mention (Freshmen year), Third Team all county (Sophomore year) in 2014 and second team all county in 2015 (Junior Year)  . Each year I work towards more improvement than the last with endless hours of practice and giving it my all at game time. Not only do I make sure that 100% of my skill is shown on the field but also my teammates. I have never been the player to stay quiet especially  if one of my teammates is having a downfall on the field therefore if that includes a pep talk before every inning, I will be the player to do it even if I am not a captain, senior or best player on the team. I believe in communication and dedication in the sport I play but I am nothing without a team in which to share this with on the field.
 
As a student, I am greatly motivated towards succeeding in all my subjects and giving myself challenges throughout the way.  I have been in advanced classes ever since 3rd grade taking gifted and honors classes since middle school. I love to come face to face with challenges pertaining to school r\such as taking classes that can help me in my future such as AP psychology in which I took 2013-2014 school year and honors forensics in  2014-2015 school year along with AP Spanish language in which I scored a 5 in. Furthermore, I have passed all major exams taken such as algebra and biology EOC's, and FCAT reading, math and writing. I am a student athlete and just as it is said in the title, school comes before athletics and I believe in always giving priority to my school work in order to ultimately succeed later on.
