My name is Kimberly Davis; I am 5'4 and 125 pounds. I have always have aspired to be a college athlete. Growing up I have always participated in sports of all kinds. I started with t-ball and then moved on to soccer. With a few years break in between that I decided I wanted to play softball. I played little league for two years before I moved on to playing travel ball and since then I have strictly played travel. I have been playing softball since I was 10 years old. I have always been counted on as a utility player on the teams I play on. When I made my way to high school, I made the varsity softball team as a freshman. I have also been captain of my high school team all three years I have played. My freshman year I was named MVP and also was awarded the All-Conference Team for Cape Coast Conference. My sophomore year was a rough year for softball because I broke my leg playing soccer for the high school; as soon as I got cleared to play again I was back on the field. I ended up pitching the whole season for my school following that I was named MVP my sophomore year. As a junior I was awarded the Coaches Choice award. I have also played soccer and bowled for the high school for 3 years. As a Senior I won the Wendy's High School Heisman Award. Aside from athletics I take rigorous college courses at Eastern Florida State College. Along with the college courses, I have taken honors and AP classes as well. I have been in the dual enrollment program since I was a sophomore and I am on track to graduate with my AA degree in May 2014. I carry a 3.53 GPA. I help my dad coach his 12u travel team because as a child playing softball I did not have an older girl to look up to and it is important to me to let the girls I help coach has a positive role model and to help them achieve their goals on the softball field.
