Personal Statement

Hello,

My name is Makenzie Lange and my goal is to play softball at the collegiate level while pursuing my degree.

I have been playing softball since the age of 5 and on competitive travel teams since I was 9. A small number of high school athletes get the opportunity to play at the next level and it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. The desire to continue playing at the collegiate level, be on a team gets to travel to various parts of the country and to represent a school and campus while I pursue my degree is something that I really want to accomplish.

I am motivated on and off the field. I consider myself to be a leader and push for results from myself my teammates. I am very coachable and pride myself on hard work and dedication to my team. I come from a family with an athletic background and pride myself on being very competitive and I don't like to lose.

I have not  officially decided on what major I am going to pursue, but I have always had a passion to help people and I think working somewhere in the medical field is what I am leaning towards. Whether it be a physical therapist, a nurse or some other area of the field.  I have always had a desire to help children whether it may be helping them overcome handicaps they were born with or developed during their life or with new born babies that need extra care when they come into the world.  The opportunity to make a difference in a child's life is something I really want to do. Working in the ER in some facet also appeals to me because I know that there is extreme pressure in working in that environment and to be able to step up and make a difference in someone's life on a moments notice would be an amazing opportunity.

I would like to attend a college that is a good fit for me academically and athletically and am looking forward to what my future holds for me.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and to review my profile.

Sincerely,

Makenzie Lange

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
