I got into softball because I started playing T-Ball with boys when I was about 7 and as I got older I knew I couldn't keep playing with boys so I switched over to softball when I was about 9 and that is when I fell in love with this sport. You need drive and you have to be mentally tough in order to be successful at the game. Softball has taught me many life skills like not getting frustrated when something doesn't go my way because the game of softball is a game of failure and in order to succeed you first have to fail a lot. I am a firm believer in believing that you learn from failure and that is why I believe I have grown a tremendously in having mental toughness.
My main goal in life is to become a lawyer or be involved some way in law as a job when I am older. One of my best decisions was choosing to take an extra class for my junior year; criminal justice, because I am so interested in being involved with law when I am older that I just strive in that class as a student. One of my weaknesses as a student is getting bored of material we are learning because a lot of the time if I am not interested I choose that I don't wanna learn it and that is something I am getting better at fixing but it is just an obstacle that I always face but I will overcome.
