For the past four years I have traveled to play softball from my hometown of Trail, British Columbia to Spokane Washington. I love the game and have given up time with my family and friends to travel 2.5 hrs away to practice and play with my team.
This is my third season with the Spokane Crash and have been coached by Gary Blake. Our team has worked to achieve some amazing things. We have qualified for ASA nationals two years in a row and just returned from College Station, Texas. We also became Idaho State 16U champions this season and are looking forward to playing some tough teams in Texas. I may not be a pitcher, catcher or shortstop, but I am a committed player and leader on the field. I am an aggressive base runner, vocal infielder, and am working my way into my best hitting season to date! Joining a new softball program, I will bring intensity and positivity in games and practices, and a keen attitude towards learning new techniques and new ways to play the game. In the classroom, I am an enthusiastic, eager learner who loves to gain knowledge on any topic. Being from Canada I have to work hard- study in the car on the way to practices, games, tournaments and between games. I train and practice alone as my teammates are not close by, so when game day is here I can be at the top of my game and ready to compete alongside my teammates. In Trail there is not a high school softball team, but for the first time we had a baseball team so I decided that if I wanted dirt time- this was my chance. I played on the Varsity team this past season and we competed against some Canadian teams and teams in the Spokane area. It was a transition, but it gave me a chance to work on my skills so when the season began I was ready to compete. I am looking for a college or university that can fulfill my educational and softball goals. I'm ready to start this new chapter in my life beyond high school and want softball to be a part of my story. The coach I want to play for will constantly push me to my limits and make me the best player that I can be. Also being aggressive and willing to do what is best for the team in tough situations. I look forward to making connections with coaches and hopefully find a school that can help me to live my dreams and achieve a degree in the field of business.
