I was very lucky to start softball at a young age (5) with supportive parents who understood the value of sport in developing an individual's character. I love being a student of this amazing game! My philosophy is that you get back what you put in and this motivates me to bring out the best in myself. I have a strong competitive instinct that serves me very well in sports and in life. I feel really grounded and connected when my competitive instincts are triggered- it's my happy place.
I have been very fortunate to train with top coaches who use phrases like "highly coachable, focused, disciplined, hard core, dedicated, thinks the game well and talented" to describe me and I feel proud that they can see these traits reflected in my performance on and off the field. My report cards from teachers/mentors reflect similar feedback- I'm committed to high performance in both softball and academics.
As a future 2021 graduate, I'm excited for the years of play as well as school semesters ahead. Of course, it's exciting to look ahead to when my university sport and academic goals will become reality, but I enjoy the process, the training and the steps it's going to take to get there too.
