Personal Statement

I started playing softball when I was five years old, have been playing rep ball for the past seven years, and have been going to personal position training for the past four years.  My favourite quote is from Babe Ruth, "It's hard to beat someone who never gives up".  I am very committed and driven, and always strive to do my very best at all times.  I take pride in how hard I work, whether it be with my school work, playing the piano, or out on the ball field.  I enjoy all sports but my passion is softball.

I am a lefty batter that can bunt and slap, and am an aggressive and confident base runner.  I am a leader on and off the field.

I am very coachable, and always willing to try something new or different to try and improve my game.  I am fortunate to be coached by the Canada Senior Women's National Team Batting and Defensive Coach and current and previous National Team Members.

I am interested in studying Exercise Science in post secondary school.  I currently have a 4.0 GPA and continue to study very hard to keep my GPA as high as I can.

With my drive, determination, and passion for the game, I will continue to improve my game, along with keeping my GPA consistent, so that I am a valuable asset to any school softball program.
