Keely Yazzie '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Keely Yazzie. I've been playing softball from city league t-ball and several traveling teams through high school. In high school I've been on the varsity softball team since my freshman year. I was also voted as one of the team captains of the team and president of the softball club this past 2015 spring season. Many of my goals were met this past season, I started as number four in the batting line up and by the end I moved up to number two with a batting average of .492. I was the starting catcher and also contributed at shortstop when needed. I've been told that I am very coachable, driven, and have grown to be a leader with a strong passion to give it my best. Overall, I am a versatile and confident utility player. 

Throughout high school I've always been able to maintain my grades while being engaged in sports and extra-curricular activies. In the classroom and on the field I consider myself a hard worker with a strong work ethic. I will be graduating from Page High School this upcoming school year. I currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and an ACT test score of 25. I've earned straight A's in all of my classes including my two AP courses this past year. Entering my senior year, my goal is to increase and maintain my batting average and become the best softball player I can be for my team. I desire to always learn new ways of improving my athletic and educational abilities while balancing a winning attitude and respect for others.
