Sports have always been in my blood. I have played soccer and taekwondo before and enjoyed the experience, but neither made me feel the way softball does. After watching my best friend play, I immediately fell in love with the game in a matter of minutes. It is more than a game, its a metaphor for life and participating in a sport like that is a gift. During the fall season of my club team I grew the most as an athlete. Working my way to becoming a starter and encountering bumps in the road made me a more well rounded player. This experience helped me understand that there is always more that I can do or be.
Softball has helped me better understand the concepts of commitment, teamwork, drive and time management on and off the field. I am fortunate enough to be part of an outstanding team and organization. I am searching for a program that fits me in all aspects; academically and athletically. I believe that I have the traits to be an elite college scholar-athlete. I am hard-working, respectful, confident and strong willed enough to compete and excel for a great college program. As an athlete with passion and drive for the sport I love, I know that I am the athlete you are looking for.
