Haley Hernandez '17 Recruiting Profile

Hitting a 2 run Home Run as a Junior against Desert Vista High School (AZ #1 ranked team and ranked 10th in the nation, at the time) was the highlight of my high school career thus far. I am fortunate enough to be part of an amazing program with amazing athletes. I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. I am a goal oriented, dedicated and self motivated individual. I aspire to play softball at the collegiate level.  I want to work to be a member of a competitive, winning team.  My competitive nature makes me an outstanding performer under pressure. I love the sport of softball and winning is a wonderful experience during a game, so I tend to rise to the occasion and give my best when my best is needed.  I understand the importance of leading by example and strive to display sportsmanship at all times.  I am willing to play in any position that would help my team have the best opportunity to be successful. I work hard in the classroom to get good grades because I know that I need to have the best GPA possible in order to have opportunities to play the game that I love at the highest level possible.
