Personal Statement

I will be a 2015 graduate from Chandler, Arizona, and I have been playing softball for about seven years. I love this game because of the challenges it provides me, all the friends I have made and the wonderful experiences that I have had because of softball. I am a high honors student (ranked in the top 5% of my class), and an International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate where I am taking a rigorous course load in my senior year. I am currently taking AP/IB English, AP/IB Micro-Economics, AP/IB Calculus BC, AP Physics, AP US Government and a college freshman level engineering class (Principles of Engineering) in my core subjects. I currently have a 3.82 GPA and a 4.45 weighted GPA. I wish to attend a college that challenges me and prepares me for my career after college. I am interested in the field of aerospace/aeronautical or mechanical engineering because I love math and science and I am really interested in this field of study. I aspire to be a well rounded person and hopefully play softball at the college level.

We also kept the #5 team in the nation scoreless thru 6 innings but lost 4-2 (I pitched the entire game). For the tournament I pitched 5 games (4-1 record), 3 completed games, 30 IP, 9 runs against, 8 earned runs, 9 BB, 10 K, 1.80 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, .244 BAA.
