My goal is always to get better, no matter what I do. At the moment I am looking at going into premed with eventually becoming a children's oncologist. I love helping people and I believe that as a society, that should be our main agenda. That is why when choosing a school, I am primarily looking into the academic side of things instead of the athletics. However, going to a school with a good softball program is still important to me as well.
As far as softball goes, I am in love with the sport. I started playing softball late compared to everyone else but I always try to get better. Living in Alaska, the normal high school season is about three weeks long, so getting time on the field tends to be difficult. It is very normal to not play on an actual field for the first time until the first game. We average about five games a week up here and the temperature is often in between 30 and 40 degrees. It is my dream to go to college somewhere warmer and in a place where my skills will be developed more intensely and quickly.
