Sam has been in the sports and fitness world since a young age, from playing soccer the minute she was old enough to her senior year in high school and lifting weights at 11 years old which still continues to this day. She became interested in sports nutrition in high school and was fascinated on how fueling your body properly for sport can impact performance.
Previously, Sam was a Sports Dietitian at Arizona State University educating collegiate student-athletes on all things regarding food and fuel. She has experience working with Wrestling, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Soccer, Baseball, and Football. In this role she performed 1:1 counseling sessions, team talks, traveled with teams, assessed hydration status and managed fueling stations in the weight rooms.
Sam has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Akron where she completed her Dietetic Internship. She is a Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed in Oklahoma. She is a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association
Outside of educating athletes on nutrition, Sam enjoys lifting in her home gym with her husband, all things Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Football, traveling, being out in the sunshine, cooking with her husband, and relaxing with her two dogs, Google and Luna.
