I’ve always had a passion for helping individuals achieve their goals and reach their highest potential in whatever performance they are engaged in. A former competitive athlete myself from the Boston, Massachusetts area, I began my journey as a sport and performance psychology professional after making an academic change during my undergraduate studies at both Quinnipiac University and Bridgewater State University, switching from athletic training and sports medicine to psychology. It was during my various clinical rotations throughout New England that I realized my passion resided more with the mental component of athletics as opposed to the physical aspect. I pursued my master’s degree in London, England at Roehampton University and graduated with a degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology. I conducted my master’s research on stress-related growth, cognitive processing, and core beliefs in a sports-injury context, as the mental side of injury recovery has always been of extreme interest to me.
I was an avid three sport athlete for most of my younger years, focusing primarily on my soccer career as a goalkeeper with aspiring dreams of playing at the Division 1 level. However, life had alternative plans for me, and after two consecutive ACL reconstructions, I realized my way of staying in the game was to help athletes navigate their own unique mental challenges as they worked to compete at their own highest levels. I am an advocate for coaching individuals on taking ownership over their own performance through deliberate mental skills training, practice, and execution, and stresses the importance of incorporating these skills into all aspects of their lives. I am a down-to-earth coach with a high degree of empathy and provides the most individualized intentional training possible to each athlete she works with.
Throughout my career, I have worked as a mental performance coach for a wide range of performers, ranging from youth to collegiate athletes, semi-professional and professional athletes, United States Army Soldiers and high-ranking military officers, and business leaders from some of the largest corporations across the U.S. Mental performance training has taken me around the globe, facilitating performance enhancement skills workshops domestically and internationally, and she has been able to recreate the same type of engaging training sessions in a virtual environment.
When I am not providing mental performance coaching, I enjoye spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel, cook and go on adventures with my boyfriend, Jay, and our two dogs, Mr. Toby Hound Dog and Baxter Brown.
