I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. I grew up playing many sports including football, basketball, soccer and golf. In high school I primarily focused on football and had the chance to be a starting defensive end for our State Championship team as a senior that also included an All-State honorable mention and academic All-State selection. I chose to attend the University of Colorado Boulder where I had plans to attempt to walk on before injuries led me to the decision to hang up my cleats.
Growing up in a generally unknown and under recruited area of the country I felt like I might have not had a fair shot at being noticed and recruited. What I love about working for NCSA is how amazing it is that we get the chance to reach as many high school student athletes across the country as we can that could possibly be overlooked or underappreciated and give them the chance to chase their goals and dreams.
