In high school, I was a four-year letter winner in Baseball being picked as one of the top seniors in Ohio to represent the state in the Sunbelt Classic. I started my college career at Savannah College of Art & Design. I played two years at SCAD being named team MVP both years. I then transferred to Bowling Green State University where I played my last two years of collegiate baseball, winning a conference championship and earning a bid to the NCAA DI Regionals my senior year. After college, I signed an independent free agent professional contract. In 2001, I was named Frontier League Pitcher of the year. During the off-season, I served as an Assistant Coach at Adrian College (DIII) and my high school alma mater Sylvania Southview for a combined 5 years. After playing 5 years of professional baseball I decided to make my move into coaching full time. I coached at Longwood University (DI) for four years under the title of Head Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

In 2007, I was the first assistant coach to be awarded the university’s Coach of the Year award. In that same year, my pitching staff was 18th in the country for ERA. I moved on to my alma mater after that season being named the Head Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. I would keep that title until the last four seasons where I was elevated to Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. During my eleven seasons at BGSU, we won two conference regular season championships, three Eastern Division Titles and one conference tournament title along with a bid to the NCAA Regionals. My 2010, 2011 and 2016 recruiting classes were recognized as some of the top classes in the Midwest by Baseball America and College Baseball Newspaper.

The thing I really like about working at NCSA is the fact that every day I have a chance to be part of the biggest decision a student/athlete has had to make to this point in their life. I live in Bowling Green, Ohio where I enjoy spending time with my wife Jessica and two daughters Georgia (5) and Kelsey (3). I also enjoy getting out on the water to fish whenever possible.
