As an athlete I played many sports growing up including soccer, football, baseball, bowling, and volleyball. After a brief time being recruited to kick for football I decided to focus on my academics and finding my career path. I attended Miami (OH) University where I graduated with my degree in Sport Leadership and Management with a focus in coaching. During my time there I had the opportunity to work with the volleyball staff as well as the strength and conditioning staff. I also was able to coach volleyball at the high school, junior high, and club level as a student.
After graduation I continued my volleyball coaching journey continuing to work as a volunteer at the NJCAA with Cincinnati State and Division 3 with Mount St. Joseph before I was hired to be the Assistant Coach at Defiance College. I spent 4 seasons there as both the Assistant and Head Coach. I gained extensive knowledge about the world of college sports and fell in love with the recruiting process. During my time coaching collegiately, I have also coached almost every age group at the club level while also working and running numerous camps, clinics, and private lessons.
As a high school athlete, I had no help with the recruiting process and knew nothing about how to make myself recruitable or go about the process. Now after recruiting student athletes to my programs i’m excited to helped student athletes find their future schools, teams, and homes at the next level with NCSA.
