I have coached 15 seasons at the NCAA level. After graduating from Luther College, where I became a two-time All-American and NCAA National Champion, I was able to serve as an assistant coach at South Dakota State University. Next, I became the head coach at Simpson College followed by the opportunity as an assistant at the University of Dubuque.

I am still actively competing in freestyle with Team USA in the Veteran’s Division. I became a USA Wrestling Bronze Certified Coach and hold a CSCS Certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

I reside in Vinton, Iowa with my wife, two sons, and two dogs.
