Growing up, I played basketball and baseball from the time I was about 4 until I graduated high school. I wasn’t the star player on my teams in high school, but I was a starter. As a junior, I created a profile with NCSA so I could be more recruitable and get more exposure. NCSA helped me through the process and ended up finding a school that was a good fit for me. I went to Muskingum University to play basketball, but ended up transferring to West Virginia University to pursue my education where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, and a Minor in Business Administration. I still appreciate everything NCSA did for me, even though I took a different route, because I wouldn’t have had the chance to even pursue my dream of playing college basketball without them.
With that being said, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in sports. I’ve worked in several roles since graduating from WVU, but none quite like this one. The energy and culture are great at NCSA, and you can feel it from day 1. Within this role, I believe I can help young athletes achieve their goals, not only in athletics, but regarding their education as well. I was in the same position as these athletes just a few years ago, so I can relate to them and would love to play a role in their growth and development as people and athletes.
This job pertains to something I am very passionate about, so I can’t wait to get the journey started and help as many student athletes obtain their goals as possible. The recruiting process is not an easy one, so I will do my best to help make it as simple as possible for these families and athletes.
