I played both baseball and basketball at Allen High School in Allentown PA. In basketball I was fortunate enough to be on an EPC League Championship team both my Junior and Senior and each year qualified for district and state playoffs. In baseball I played Varsity for 3 years and was voted on the EPC 1st Team as senior outfielder. In the league All Star game I hit 2 home runs in my 2 plate appearances.
I decided to attend Elizabethtown College ( D-3) in Elizabethtown PA and major in Communications and play baseball. In my first collegiate game, first pitch, in my first at bat, I hit a home run against the Citadel ( D-1) in Charleston SC. That was obviously one of my most memorable moments in my athletic career ! Our 1988 team won our conference and region and qualified for the D-3 College World Series. It was an awesome experience that I will never forget.
After graduation from college, I embarked on a career in the mortgage industry for over 25 years. I was able to stay active in sports while coaching my 3 sons in baseball and basketball in Pennsylvania. I also was a scout for my high school basketball team. And lastly, and most recently I became a PIAA official in basketball and softball for 10 years. I have the unique experience of having the perspective as a player, coach, parent and referee !
In my free time I like to exercise including walking and biking and love to play golf.
I am so thrilled to be part of the NCSA Team !! I am committed to helping future student athletes navigate through the college recruiting process and help them select their college where they have the opportunity to continue being a student athlete.
