Laura Talevi, Nutrition Coach

Laura grew up in a military family in Maryland, playing soccer and horseback riding competitively.
She is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition. Her mission is to empower athletes with the knowledge to fuel their bodies for optimal performance and health throughout their lives! Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from The University of North Carolina Wilmington and her Master of Science in Nutrition from Meredith College. She completed her dietetic internship through Meredith College serving as a dietetic intern at Womack Army Medical Center and with THOR3 at the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and at the Duke Diet and Fitness Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Before working at The IMG Academy, Laura worked as a Sports Dietitian serving collegiate student-athletes at various universities including Liberty University, the University of Illinois, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She had the honor of overseeing the nutritional care of various teams including Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, Fencing, Track and Field, Cross Country, Tennis, Cheer, and Field Hockey. Prior to her career in collegiate sports dietetics, Laura served as a Head Coach and Lead Dietitian at Iron Tribe Fitness in Cary, North Carolina. Laura has been coaching weightlifting and CrossFit classes since 2012.

When Laura is not coaching, you can find her spending time with her family and fur babies, weightlifting, exploring outside, or cooking up something fun in the kitchen!
