Growing up in Los Angeles, the weather didn’t permit activities and by the age of 3 I was already watching and playing soccer. I grew up playing softball, basketball, softball, volleyball and soccer and ultimately ended in soccer. From the age of 8 until 18 I played club soccer for Real So Cal Soccer Club. It wasn’t until I tore my ACL that my dreams of playing collegiate soccer ended. I attended Indiana University where I studied Liberal Studies and Non Profit Management.
After graduating I moved to Chicago to pursue coaching club soccer for Wilmette Wings and decided that I still didn’t have enough sports in my life, then I joined NCSA. NCSA provides the support that I was not given while going through the process of possibly playing college soccer.
To be able to work not only with teens and families but also talk sports all day, is truly a dream come true. Along with that, the community at NCSA is unlike any other and it shows through the success of the organization.
