For 25 years as a college football coach, I had the pleasure to coach at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels as well as intrnationally in three different all star games. I served in a number of different roles including as a head coach, recruiting coordinator, defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator. During this time I was part of six championship teams, coached three All-Americans, thirty-three all-conference players and was a regular speaker at football clinics throughout the country.
Throughout my time in college athletics, I spent alot of time recruiting student-athletes and their families. While doing this I recognized one constant no matter what institution I was coaching for: Prospective student-athletes and their families were frustrated & overwhelmed by the recruiting process. This process should be fun for student-athletes and their families and instead it caused stress and anxiety. That is one of the reasons why I joined the NCSA Family as a recruiting specialist, to help educate families on the recruiting process and assist them in using all of NCSA’s resources to find the right college fit for them both academically and athletically.
Raised in Florida, I enjoy anything that has to do with the ocean. Currently I reside in Chicago with my wife, daughter and our dog, an African Ridgeback – Luna.
