Though I did not play a sport at the collegiate level, I have been surrounded by sport my entire life. Both of my parents were professional athletes as well as my older brother, but not in the sports that typically come to mind. My mother was a professional BMX racer, father a professional snowboarder and brother a professional dirt bike racer, so athletics have played a very important role in my life for as long as I can remember.
I graduated from Pasco-Hernando State College in 2021 with my bachelor’s degree in supervision and management. I tried my hand at standard high school sports (track, cheerleading, golf, etc.) but discovered my true passion was for a couple non-traditional sports that were not offered at my school: waterskiing and triathlon. I have been a competitive water skier for 12 years with the Aqua Riders of Holland Water Ski Team and have been racing both short and long-distance triathlons for 3 years and counting with TruEndurance team. When I am not working, I am training for a full distance Ironman Triathlon or playing with my 2 Great Dane puppies!
Participating in competitive sports outside of college taught me a lot about discipline, consistency, balance, and heart, which I am so excited to apply directly into my work here at NCSA. I know the recruiting process can present many challenges, but us coordinators are here to help guide you through to make the process as smooth as possible! Helping student-athletes chase their dreams is what we do!
