I have been serving students of all ages and their families in various professional roles since 2007. Since earning undergraduate and graduate degrees at Southeast Missouri State University, I have been involved in international education in a wide variety of academic settings both as an English as a Second Language instructor and program administrator for sixteen years.
As the Director of International Programs at Iowa Wesleyan University from 2017-2021, I was involved with recruiting international student-athletes from all over the world for sixteen intercollegiate sports. This included football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, cross country, golf, track & field and wrestling among others. I collaborated closely with coaches, university administrators, parents, and student-athletes to provide a smooth recruitment and onboarding experience for all involved parties.
During this time my passion for student recruitment was fueled by seeing how my efforts contributed to the realization of students’ dreams and life goals! I am excited to continue this same endeavor of helping student-athletes through my current role with NCSA. As a cross country and track & field runner in high school, I know firsthand how the skills and experiences gleaned from athletic competition prepare one for success in all areas of life and continue to impact me to this day. It is a tremendous privilege to serve others by helping open up more academic, athletic, and life opportunities to them!
In my free time you can find me spending time with my wife, four kids, and Goldendoodle. Our family enjoys reading, hiking, running, drama, debate, playing baseball, and following Dude Perfect.
