Working at NCSA truly is one of the most rewarding jobs out there. Waking up each day knowing that I have the ability to positively impact the lives of student-athletes and their families is an unbelievable feeling. Having the opportunity to help these athletes achieve their dreams is what it’s all about and keeps me motivated and coming back day after day.
I grew up in Rhode Island playing sports of all kinds and they immediately became my favorite thing in the entire world. Since childhood I have lived all over the country going from coast to coast and back again however I never lost my love for Rhode Island and the New England area. My sports allegiances to the Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots are right at the forefront of my life and yes I know you wish you were lucky enough to have seen 13 titles since the turn of the century or maybe you are that lucky and you’re also a fan of the greatest teams in sports. I attended Merrimack College where I worked for the athletic department and played intramurals of all kinds. Before college, I had the privilege of playing hockey, baseball, and soccer at Culver Academies, one of the nation’s elite boarding schools.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and playing all types of various games. Whether I’m catching a Bruins game, cheering for the Red Sox, or participating in a friendly game with friends, sports remain an integral part of my life. That is what makes working at NCSA so appealing. I can’t envision many more jobs that can combine just talking sports and helping people at the same time, and that is what NCSA allows me to do. The satisfaction of helping to create opportunities for athletes across all sports, divisions, and fields of study is amazing, and each day, I am reminded of the impact that my efforts have in contributing to the success and growth of young athletes, making this journey incredibly fulfilling.
