I have been with NCSA as a recruiting specialist since 2016. My favorite part about working at NCSA is when I see that a student-athlete that I’ve helped through the recruiting process has committed to a school. There’s no better feeling than knowing I’ve helped that family be in a better position to get their student-athlete a good education.
A little on who I am: I was born in Buffalo, New York, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee, during elementary school. I am a former three-sport high school athlete in football, wrestling and soccer. I made pretty much every mistake you can make in the recruiting process, so when I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, my sports outlets were limited to intramurals, which I still took full advantage of. I even picked up the sport of rugby while in college. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in secondary education and was a teacher and coach for many years in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In my time as a high school teacher and coach, I had many deserving student-athletes as both my students and players. It was very frustrating to see those who had such a passion for their sport have to hang up their cleats after high school. I was determined to get more involved in the recruiting process. This is what led me to NCSA. I love what I do and am always excited to meet new families and aid them in their recruitment.
