I grew up in South California and played both basketball and soccer in high school. I realized early on in high school that I wanted to play soccer in college. I was recruited my junior year to play Big Ten soccer at the University of Iowa. I was a four year starting goalkeeper for the Hawkeyes. I was a team captain for two years. I was an Academic All Big Ten selection three years as well as an All Big Ten team member two years. I was nominated for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award my junior and senior year. I graduated with a bachelors in History from the University of Iowa
Upon graduation I began my college coaching career. I started as an assistant coach at Indiana State University, moving on to the College of William and Mary two years later. I was the top assistant at William and Mary for seven years. During that time we won one CAA conference championship as well as appeared in several NCAA tournaments. I had the privilege of coaching several All-Americans and got to coach against some of the top teams in the country. A highlight of my career at William and Mary was when we knocked off the #1 ranked UNC Tar-Heels in the VCU tournament!
I stepped away from my role at William and Mary to start a family and open a family business. My husband and I owned and operated a small sports performance gym for several years where I was able to continue coaching athletes. We now reside in Raleigh, NC with our two children. Joining the NCSA team allows me to stay connected to the sport that I love while helping support student athletes and their families through the recruiting process.
