I spent the past ten years with the Islanders Hockey Club (Tyngsboro, MA), where he took on a variety of roles, including: Assistant General Manager; National Recruiter; Head Strength and Conditioning Coach of IHC West; Head Coach of U15 Full Season Tier 1; and Head Coach of U16/U18 American teams. I also served for several seasons as Head Coach of the Islanders Elite Junior (formerly Empire) teams.

My many successful seasons with the Islanders as Head Coach include: a junior hockey season with an overall team record of 36-4-4; winning a North Division title and making an appearance at the USPHL Nationals; and my final season with the Islanders, winning the USPHL U15 Championship with an overall team record of 46-22-5-1. My personal and extensive “placed player list” includes many who went on to play collegiate hockey in the NCAA and ACHA, as well as in professional leagues.

Prior to the Islanders, I served as Head Coach, as well as Strength and Conditioning Coach, at Marian High School (Framingham, MA). Prior to Marian, I served as a Head Coach with the Central Mass Outlaws youth hockey program, while I earned my Masters of Science degree in kinesiology, with a concentration in exercise science, at the University of Rhode Island. I obtained my Bachelors of Science degree in health science from Worcester State University. During my senior year at Worcester State, I served on the strength and conditioning staff at the College of the Holy Cross, which had responsibility for all NCAA DI sports.

My experience in the area of kinesiology also included work as a sports performance trainer and skating specialist with Athletes Edge (Littleton, MA), as well as working one-on-one as a personal strength and conditioning coach for athletes in ice hockey, football and other sports. my training specialties include periodization and programming for athletes, as well as Olympic lifting/power lifting.

My extensive player experience includes: Worcester State University’s NCAA DIII team; and junior hockey in Buffalo, NY with the Buffalo Stars, of the Empire Hockey League, where I was named a team captain, and with the Wheatfield Blades of the Ontario Golden Horseshoe Hockey League as well as the Empire Hockey League. I also played AAA youth hockey for the Reston Raiders (Reston, VA) and Prince William Panthers (Dale City, VA) and as varsity captain for McLean High School in Northern Virginia.

I reside in Dudley, MA with my wife Heidi and our four children: Matteo (10), Luke (6), Nevin (2) and McKenna (three months).
