I grew up in rural South Dakota and graduated from Eureka High School. Competing was instilled in me from a very young age and, because of attending a small school, I was able to be a four-sport athlete. I participated in football, basketball, track and field, and baseball. Some of my awards include being a Wendy’s Heisman Nominee, recipient of the Brandon Burlsworth Character Award, All-Conference, football captain, and Academic All-State. Academically, I graduated with the honor of being salutatorian of my class.
I was not sure I wanted to compete at the next level until my Senior year. I was convinced by my family and coaches that I had the ability, so my passion pushed me toward that opportunity. Looking back at the process now, I am very lucky that the right opportunity to compete, get the degree I wanted, and location of the school were all offered to me by Northern State University.
After high school, I went on to attend Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where I earned a BS in Sports Marketing and Business Management in 3.5 years, graduating summa cum laude and having the highest GPA in the School of Education. While attending Northern State University, I participated on the track and field team, where I competed on the 4×1 relay, long jumped, and ran the 60m and 100m dashes.
When I joined NCSA, I knew that it would be a great fit for me. I love sports, whether it is participating, watching, or sharing my knowledge with others. I am here to educate families about the recruiting process and share my recruiting experiences. I want all student-athletes to have an opportunity to achieve their dreams. My goal is to make your experience with NCSA and recruiting a positive one.
When not working at NCSA, my hobbies include working out, hiking, golfing, and hanging out with friends and family. I currently reside in Aberdeen, SD.
