Christopher Allen '16 Recruiting Profile

I will be a 2016 graduate of Ward Melville High School in East Setauket, NY where I have played as a Varsity starter since my freshman year.  I also currently play for LIVBC 17 National Team as an opposite and outside hitter.  I am a second year team captain and a recipient of several athletic honors including Suffolk County Boys Volleyball Honorable Mention, Suffolk County Volleyball All County Award, Suffolk County All Tournament Team Award, Ward Melville Most Improved Player Award, Ward Melville MVP All Coaches Award and three time New York State Scholar Athlete.  I have participated in the High Performance A3 camp which gave me an opportunity to take my volleyball skills to the next level.  In addition I have maintained a rigorous academic schedule as well as participating in my high school jazz band and Student Government and National Honor Society. I am an active member of two community service organizations which I am passionate about.  Contractors for Kids which raises money to help families of critically ill children and Athletes Going the Extra Mile in which fellow student athletes help me coordinate various fundraisers for local charities and soup kitchens. 
As a student athlete I feel it is important to be a well rounded individual who is not only able to compete athletically and academically but, make positive contributions in the community.  My goal is to attend a school in which I am able to play volleyball at the collegiate level and receive a quality education.
