Dear College Coach,
My name is Jack Cooper and there are many reasons why you should recruit me as an athlete and why I will make a great addition to your school. In 4th grade I scored 60% on the Duke TIP, which states that I scored higher than 60% of the 8th graders that took the same test. This shows that I have very high potential, and need a school that will push me to that potential. Also, on middle school standardized testing, i scored 98 percentile, scoring in the top 2% of American students. This year, I have been tested with many great challenges. In mid September, I switched schools, because I was not comfortable with my first choice. I was experiencing extreme anxiety at this school. Even after switching, i had anxiety and missed a total of 22 days of school. On top of this I was in the hospital for a week. This caused my grades to suffer drastically. I started off my new school, Brother Martin, with 4 F's; however, i pulled these grades up to, still very disappointing but much better, C's and B's by making up work and asking for extra credit. This was all done in one and a half months. This shows that I am determined to do better so I can get into a better college. I am now homeschooled and I am doing very well with all A's.
Thank You,
Jack Cooper
