Pole Vaulting Personal Statement
My name is Joe Vils and I currently attend Oshkosh West High School in Oshkosh, WI. I am a three-sport athlete in, Football, Basketball, and Track & Field and will graduate in the spring of 2016. I’ve been on varsity since my freshman year in Track & Field and was elected has team caption for my senior year. My sophomore year I participated in sectionals for 110 hurdles and junior for pole vault. I am a hard worker and have a passion to continue pole-vaulting at the collegiate level.
I’m a very coachable athlete that likes to receive feedback and instruction on how I can achieve my full potential. I believe in having strong team chemistry and respecting others. This is very important to me when selecting a college. Currently I am interested in the field of engineering.
