A dream of mine is to compete competitively at the collegiate level in a D2 or D1 college, while taking a rigorous major, such as: Chemistry, Physics, or other physical sciences, with a minor in Music Theory. After college if I take the scinece route I would like to get a PHd in the respective area, while training for marathons, and ultramarathons. Running is my passion. I love it so much that, if I don't get a run in each day I have a bad day and am usually very moody. I love pushing my body to the limit on hard workout days, and I love running through the countryside on an easy long spring morning run. I can't wait to see what I can do this track season. I have improved so much and continue to improve by leaps and bounds. Last year's XC season I went from 11 in the conference, 5th on my team, to this year's season of winning conference and being 1st on my team. I even beating the seniors who had beat me as juniors the year before.
A goal of mine, is to make it to state in the 800M and 4x800M and anything else I can make it in while maintaining my 4.0 GPA. I can't wait to start track and see just how much I have improved since last year. I have always had a little more speed than the majority of my XC teammates but this year it really started to show when we did 1600M and 800M repeats. I would always come in at least a few seconds infront of my teammates. Last year for JV conference track meet my coach needed someone to run the 400M and I was only in the varsity conference meet so I offered. This was the 1st time racing a 400M since my middle school track days. I came in 2nd for JV conference with a 54.6. This year that puts me as the 3rd fastest 400 runner on my team and I had only raced it once. I am working on bringing that time down and like I stated before my speed has greatly increased!
