I strive to balance academic and athletic priorities, and plan to go into pre-med/sciences in college and become a surgeon. Academics are very important to me and I have opted to go to the Tesla STEM charter school, which, as the name suggests focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M). I train for Track and Field year-round, and have successfully managed to juggle both 5 day a week practices and the maximum number of AP and Honors classes available while keeping a strong GPA. The TESLA STEM school is very intense with "Slack Classes" being engineering and graphic design.
On the athletic side I have been competing in Track and Field since I was about 8 years old, and have competed in the USATF National Junior Olympics three times. I started on the Varsity Track team at Eastlake High School (Tesla STEM does not offer sports programs) in my freshman year. In my sophomore year I made it to state in the 400m. My 10th Grade 400m PR is 2nd in the State of Washington in 4A (largest schools in the State of Washington).
I look forward to running my Senior Year for Eastlake High School. My goal is to win State in the 400m and help my team win State in the 4x400 and 4x100m relays.
I would love to run track for a select university that has nationally ranked academic and track & field programs. I am a very hard worker and know that I can provide an immediate positive impact for my college team!
