My dreams are to continue my athletics at the collegiate level. Ever since I was a child, I dreamt of going to college to play sports. My goals are to continue to improve and succeed in my high school sports to better prepare myself for the collegiate level and catch the attention of college coaches. I aspire to be successful not only in sports but also in the classroom. I have maintained a high GPA of a 3.76 while working 5-6 days a week at a part time job. This experience has taught me how to manage my time with academics and a job while staying dedicated to running. My freshmen year I did not run for my school however I played soccer for them. I transferred to a new school my sophomore year and decided to run XC and was a part of the varsity team who made a regional berth our opening school year. I then decided to run Indoor Track and ran in districts and regionals however I did not run spring track. This past xc season, I was a part of the my schools first ever team to make it to the state meet which was huge for our program to do in its only second year of existence. In indoor we also claimed our schools first ever district title and I was named all-district in the 1000m. This spring I decided to run spring track and give up my other sport because I want to compete at the collegiate level. This spring I ran the 800 and the 2000m steeplechase and my team also won the outdoor district championship. I ran steeplechase at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships where I placed 16th with it being only my 3rd time running it. I am looking to compete at all NCAA levels and am looking at relatively bigger schools in suburban and urban cities.
