I want to compete in track at college and earn the best education I can get. Although I have not completely decided what major I want to pursue, Mechanical engineering is so far my preferred major with also Computer Science and Economics in mind. I would be a good fit for many college track programs because I work hard both on and off the track. I strive to maintain a high GPA and I earned a 1250 on my first try for the SAT (math and reading). Outside of school and track I have earned the rank of Eagle scout. This shows that I will be dedicated to whatever I need to do and that I have experience in leading. What makes me different from other recruits is I have an identical twin brother and I started running track my freshman year of high school. At 145 lbs and 6' 1", I still have room to bulk up and increase my speed. Most importantly, track and field requires an athlete to be prepared to push themselves as far as needed to accomplish their goals. I have the dedication and will to compete and push myself as hard as needed. Next year I am aiming for all-state (6A) in both the 200m and the 400m dash. As a team captain since my junior year, I am also aiming for the chance of winning a team title at the conference level.
