Track and field has become an important part in my life. I run both indoor and outdoor track. I started to run track my freshman year for Centreville High School, in Clifton Virginia. Ever since joining the team I have loved making new friends and competing in track meets. I have battled through slumps and achieved a lot for my team and myself. I am continuing my training into the 2014 summer and will continue to compete in meets. I am a hurdler, but also compete in relays such as the 4x100,4x200,4x400, and the SMR's. My favorite event is the 300m hurdles and can't wait to get more experience in the 400m hurdles this summer. I am All Region in the 110hh, 4x100, 4x400, and All Conference in the 110hh, 55hh, 4x100, 4x200, 4x400. My favorite track memory was anchored for our teams SMR 800 at New Balance Outdoor Nationals. I have always dreamed of competing at the collegiate level. I love to hurdle and would love the chance to continue hurdling. I love the challenges of hurdling and it has helped me push over hurdles in my life.
I am hoping to find the right college were I can balance my studies and running track. I am open to any Division and in any area of the country. I would like to major in Engineering or Business. I have also been active in my community through Boy Scouts, and have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and play trombone in my high school's advanced band. I have received a scholar athlete award, and an academic letter.Thank you for spending the time to read my personal statement.
